my philosophy

 

I strive to capture the real laughter, connection, and personality that make your story yours.

 

 

 

I believe the best photos happen when people feel comfortable enough to simply be themselves. During our session I'll gently guide and prompt you, but my goal is never stiff poses or forced smiles. I want to create space for genuine connection, laughter and the little in-between moments that truly reflect who you are. I'm always watching for the authentic moments that unfold naturally. Those are the moments that tell your story and create photographs that feel honest and lasting.

 

The most meaningful photographs are the ones where you can feel the moment, not just see it...

Frequently asked questions

How would you describe your photography style?

I'm a firm believer in documenting what is real. I like my photos to tell a story. I work to elicit real emotions and genuine connection from my clients. While I do help pose, I use prompts and dialogue to help my clients feel comfortable.

Do you travel for photoshoots outside of Washington?

I sure do!! I love to travel!! I am in Oregon and Idaho fairly often but I'm always up for an adventure anywhere! If your photography needs are outside of my area, contact me to get a customized quote!

Can I customize a photography package to fit all my needs?

Absolutely!! My two most commonly asked for customizations are adding time and/or adding locations, but I can tailor and session to fit your specific needs. I can also help with suggestions for locations based on your vision for a session.

Is there a specific time of day you prefer to hold your sessions?

I'm a chaser of light. And the most deliciously beautiful light is in the hour or two before sunset or after the sunrise. I hold majority of my outdoor non-documentary sessions during the evening golden hour. That being said, I know sometimes that time of day simply doesn't work. I work with each client to determine what will work best for everyone.
